A Cure In Sight Attends 2025 Hilliard Seigler Duke Melanoma Consortium to Raise Awareness for Ocular Melanoma
Durham, NC – May 2025 – A Cure In Sight (ACIS) for Ocular Melanoma, a national nonprofit focused on ocular melanoma advocacy and patient support, proudly attended the 2025 Hilliard Seigler Duke Melanoma Consortium, held on May 16, 2025, at the Mary Duke Biddle Semans Center in Durham, North Carolina.
Hosted annually by Duke University Medical Center, this respected half-day educational symposium convenes leaders in the field of melanoma to share updates on treatment breakthroughs, scientific research, and patient-centered care. The 2025 event featured discussions on surgical innovations, cellular therapies, and the emotional and psychological aspects of a melanoma diagnosis.
Participation in this event supports ACIS’s ongoing mission to connect researchers, clinicians, and advocates in the fight against ocular melanoma. This rare but aggressive cancer requires early detection and specialized care—making medical community awareness crucial.
By attending the Duke Melanoma Consortium, A Cure In Sight ensured that the specific challenges facing eye cancer patients were brought to the forefront of conversations about melanoma treatment and survivorship. The organization distributed educational materials, engaged in collaborative dialogue, and explored potential partnerships that may lead to more targeted solutions for the ocular melanoma community.
