Hilliard Seigler Duke Melanoma Consortium

We are honored to share that Casey Gallagher has made a generous one‑time gift of $1,955.70 to A Cure In Sight. Casey, who is courageously navigating treatment for metastatic uveal melanoma, organized a 5K fundraiser to rally friends, family, and neighbors around our mission. In their own words, “This walk wasn’t just about raising money—it was about hope, advocacy, and shining a light on a disease that too often goes unseen.”

Casey’s determination—and the community that stepped up to support the event—remind us why we work so hard to accelerate research, provide patient resources, and raise awareness for ocular melanoma. We are especially touched by Casey’s note of appreciation for Melody and the ACIS team, who quickly supplied flyers and materials to help make the 5K a success.

To Casey and everyone who donated, volunteered, or walked: your generosity translates directly into research funding, patient support programs, and, most importantly, renewed hope for those facing this rare cancer. Thank you for turning personal challenge into collective action and for bringing us all one step closer to better treatments—and one day, a cure.
