ACIS announces new Director of Community Engagement:
Jennifer Hoke to join ACIS’s growing team January 15
Raleigh, NC., January 15, 2024—A Cure in Sight Ocular Melanoma, today announced that they have expanded their Non-Profit foundation by hiring Jennifer Hoke as the Director of Community Engagement. Jennifer will be coordinating ACIS sponsored communications and events.
Jennifer graduated from Southern New Hampshire University and earned her bachelor’s degree in digital photography and communications in December of 2022, and she is currently pursuing a master’s degree in marketing with a concentration on social media marketing. Jennifer lost her father to OM in July 2023, which only ignited her passion to help patients and families battling disease even more. Her desire to be an advocate and raise awareness of ocular melanoma made the decision to join ACIS easy for her, and she will dedicate herself to this cause.
In her spare time, Jennifer enjoys competing in pageantry and she is currently a national titleholder for the All American and Mrs. All American Pageant system, where she uses her title as All American International, to promote her platform, ocular melanoma awareness to educate people on the importance of having a comprehensive eye exam each year. When asked about joining the ACIS team, Hoke said, “it is truly an honor to be able to help further this cause and keep my promise to my dad that I would never stop fighting to find a cure and help those who need me”.
“A Cure In Sight will benefit immensely from the knowledge and energy that Jennifer brings to our team.” Said Melody Burchett, “We are excited to add another layer of support for patients with Jennifer directing our Community Engagement programs, as well as being a voice of ACIS.”
