May has been such a BIG month in Melanoma and for OM!  Every May is Melanoma Awareness and Healthy Vision Month. The first Monday of the month is Melanoma Monday. There were no shortages of posts, articles, blogs, vlogs, and email blasts to celebrate it! It was so great to see everyone bringing awareness to this cause. The hope is to bring even more next year! There was also our Eye Patch Days campaign where you all were asked to decorate an eye patch, submit your photo for a prize, tag A Cure in Sight or email us your photos, and share your photos on your social media.

Several submissions were received!  They were all so creative and fun. One submission was at Disney, one was a participant on an actual boat, and several were blinged out and fun! Please continue to join in this campaign each year to show off your creativity!

ARVO ( Association for Research in Vision and Ophthalmology) was hosted in Denver, Co. this year. Several abstracts and posters were submitted with exciting research for Uveal Melanoma. Follow our other featured blog post where we provide an overview of all the research going on. May is also the month we celebrate Memorial Day. Please take a moment to reflect on giving thanks to those who make the sacrifices so that we can enjoy our freedoms. Also, please take a moment to honor all of those that have given the ultimate sacrifice for our country.
