At A Cure In Sight, every board member brings unique strength to our mission of supporting patients and funding research for ocular melanoma. Today, we are honored to warmly welcome Chris to our Board of Directors — a leader whose professional expertise and personal journey embody resilience, service, and hope.

Chris spent more than 27 years in sales and marketing within the hotel industry, building meaningful partnerships and leading with strategy, innovation, and heart. Throughout his career, he has been known for cultivating strong relationships and driving impactful outreach efforts — skills that will be invaluable as A Cure In Sight continues expanding awareness, patient programs, and research funding initiatives.

Today, Chris serves as Center Manager at New Hope Ministries, a vital organization dedicated to providing crisis assistance to individuals and families in need. In this role, he supports operational leadership and outreach efforts that directly serve vulnerable populations. His daily work reflects compassion in action — something that deeply aligns with the heart of our organization.

In July 2024, Chris’s life changed when he was diagnosed with ocular melanoma, a rare and aggressive eye cancer. Facing a large tumor and significant uncertainty, he pursued treatment through the groundbreaking Daro clinical trial. After 12 months in the trial, followed by targeted plaque therapy, Chris successfully preserved his right eye and regained limited sight. His experience navigating diagnosis, clinical trials, and treatment has given him profound insight into the patient journey.

Chris understands firsthand the fear, hope, and determination that define life after an ocular melanoma diagnosis. His story strengthens our mission and reminds us why advocacy, research funding, and patient support are so critical.

We are incredibly grateful that Chris is choosing to channel his expertise, empathy, and passion into serving A Cure In Sight. His leadership, strategic vision, and lived experience will help us continue pushing forward — toward better treatments, stronger patient resources, and ultimately, a cure.

Please join us in welcoming Chris to the A Cure In Sight family.
